Richard Sullivan (BS, Electrical Engineering, 1994) visited with engineering students in August to talk with them about preparing their resumes and interviewing for jobs. Sullivan is Vice President, Program Management at Northrop Grumman (NG). Sullivan started out as a member of the technical staff in Antenna System Engineering at TRW (company was bought out by NG in 2002) in 1995, moved to several other companies for a few years, returning to NG in 2005. One of his positions at Northrop Grumman was Deputy B-2 Chief Engineer as NG was the prime B-2 contractor. Sullivan was in Honolulu this past August for the first B-2 deployment to Hawai‘i. The B-2 Spirit stealth bombers are normally housed at Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri. They are in Hawai‘i for training and integration of capabilities with regional partners. Their presence also enhances security in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region. For more information about the B-2 Spirit (link).
