UHM Engineers Recognized at 2016 UH Mānoa Awards
UH Mānoa (UHM) electrical engineering graduate student Ryan Gough was recognized with the Student Excellence in Research Award (Doctoral level) on May 2, 2016 at the annual UH Mānoa Awards Ceremony at Kennedy Theater. This is the first time that a PhD student in engineering has won this award. It recognizes his outstanding array of accomplishments over the past three years.
At the same ceremony, UHM electrical engineering professor Dr. David Garmire received the Board of Regents Medal for Excellence in Teaching — the most prestigious teaching award in the ten-campus UH System. He had previously won the Frances Davis Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching.
