Paper Review Status under the Fluids Technical Committee

Dear Authors:

I am currently serving as an associate editor for the ASCE Journal of Engineering Mechanics (JEM) representing the Fluids Technical Committee. Thank you for submitting a paper to JEM. This web page is designed to provide you with the updated information on the review status of your paper. Your name and the outcome of the review will not be revealed in this page. The editorial summary will be sent to you by the ASCE journals department after the review process is completed.

Each paper is usually sent to three reviewers for review. Occasionally, the review process can be delayed due to various reasons such as reviewers' busy schedule, illness, or the need to change to new reviewers. Currently, the average time from when a paper is submitted to JEM to when it is accepted for publication is generally 340 days. For the papers processed by the Fluids Technical Committee during the past 10 months, the average length of the review process was 4 months.
