2000 Officers and Directors

*Reviewed and approved August 9 meeting minutes.
*Reviewed and approved treasurer's report. Current balance $23,602.10.

*New Member Applications:

Stephen Schultz of Bonded Materials Company has been accepted as an Affiliate Member Les Kempers of Rocky Mountain Prestress has applied for membership as an Allied Member. His application will be voted on in the October Board of Directors Meeting.
Please notify any SEAOH Officer prior to the respective Board Meeting if you wish to comment on prospective members.

*SEAOH Web Site Committee & Electronic Communications:

Committee meetings were held at Shigemura, Lau, Sakanashi, & Higuchi on August 17 and 29 at 4:30PM to establish the responsibility of the committee to maintain the site and to establish a target role that the committee would like to see the web site fill. Target role of electronic communications was also discussed during the committee meeting. The committee forwarded their recommendations to the BOD for review and approval. The BOD will act on the recommendations during the October Board of Directors Meeting.

*Correspondences:

Received a letter from the City & County of Honolulu requesting SEAOH position statement on adoption of IBC 2000 seismic provisions. Glenn Miyasato will draft a response for review during the October Board of Directors Meeting.

*Nominations for SEAOH Life Membership:

If you wish to nominate anyone for SEAOH Life Membership, please submit your nomination in writing to SEAOH Board of Directors c/o Glenn Miyasato. Qualifications for SEAOH Life Membership are listed in the SEAOH Constitution and By-Laws. Written nominations must be received by SEAOH Board of Directors no later than November 30, 2000.

*Nominations for 2001 SEAOH Officers and Directors:

Committee formed chaired by Steve Heywood to identify candidates for 2001 SEAOH Officer and Director positions. The ballot of candidates will be announced during the October general membership meeting. Please contact Steve Heywood if you wish to nominate anyone for a 2001 SEAOH Officer or Director position.

*2002 SEAOH Annual Convention:

Committee formed consisting of Irving Hirata, Dennis Hanatani, Glenn Miyasato, Harold Hamada, & Mike Yee to investigate feasibility of having the 2002 SEAOH Annual Convention out of State. The committee will report their findings to the BOD by November 30, 2000. The BOD will act on the recommendations during the December Board of Directors Meeting.

*Next BOD meeting: will be at 11:45 am on Wednesday, October 4th at SSFM International, Inc.
