This is a simple exhibit of the pictures I took of the World Trade
Center
in my two trips to New York City in 1988 and 1993. The twin towers were a
truly
remarkable piece of civil engineering and a symbol of national
pride and success.

The World Trade Center Plaza.
Towering skyscrappers were dwarfed by the twins. View from the
skydeck.
The WTC truly dominated the Lower Manhattan skyline. From a boat tour to
Ellis Island.
Soaring to the skies in defiance of gravity. The North Tower or One
World Trade Center had a huge antenna mast on its roof.
View to the north from inside the North Tower. This side was
impacted by
the first aircraft.
View from Brooklyn Heights.

My sister looks (east) at New Jersey from the skydeck. This (west)
side of Tower Two was hit by the second aircraft.
Eastern view from the skydeck including the Brooklyn Bridge in a hot and
muggy summer
day.
My wife clearly remembers this huge modern art exhibit made of wool. It
was
greeting the
visitors one floor below the skydeck.
It's almost symbolic. The last picture I ever took of the World Trade
Center
was during sunset and included an airplane contrail (pointing away from
it.)
My heart-felt sympathy to all those who lost their loved ones in this
tragedy.
