Advanced Materials Manufacturing Laboratory

The objectives of AMML are to design, analyze, manufacture, and test structures and systems using advanced materials such as thermoset and thermoplastic Polymer Matrix Composites (PMC), Ceramic Matrix Composites (CMC)/Continuous Fiber Ceramic Composites (CFCC) Employing Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM), and Computer-Aided Testing (CAT), and using state-of-the-art advanced manufacturing systems such as fully-automated filament winding for thermosets and thermoplastics, resin transfer molding, and autoclave.
