We are located in the Pacific Ocean Science and Technology (POST) Hewlett
Packard (HP) Computer Laboratory Room 208. The simplest way to contact us
is via email to consult@wiliki.eng.hawaii.edu.
However, if you prefer to talk to a lab consultant directly, you can
contact the computer lab directly by calling (808) 956-6076 during
our hours of operation. If there is no answer, you can leave a message and
contact information on the answering machine so we can return your call as
soon as possible.
The hours of operation are
as follows:
First 4 weeks of semester
- Monday - Friday: 10:30am to 5:00pm
- Saturday, Sunday, Holidays: Closed
From 5th week until last 4 weeks of semester
- Monday - Thursday: 10:30am to 8:00pm
- Friday: 10:30am to 5:00pm
- Sunday: Noon to 5:00pm
- Saturday, Holidays: Closed
Last 4 weeks of semester
- Monday - Thursday: 8:00am to 11:00pm
- Friday: 8:00am to 5:00pm
- Sunday: Noon to 8:00pm
- Saturday, Holidays: Closed
Finals week and Spring break
- Monday - Friday: 10:30am to 5:00pm
- Saturday, Sunday, Holidays: Closed
The computer lab currently has the following hardware available for use:
- 42 Pentium 4/3.2 GHz Windows XP PCs
- 1 Hewlett-Packard Laserjet 4M Plus Printer
- 1 Hewlett-Parkard Laserjet 4200N Printer
- 1 Hewlett-Packard Laserjet 4600DN Printer
- 1 Hewlett-Packard Designjet 800PS Plotter
- 1 Hewlett-Packard Scanjet 5500C Scanner
- 1 Hewlett-Packard Scanjet 4C Scannner
- 1 Hewlett-Packard Scanjet IIC Scanner
Currently, there are four computer lab consultants:

The lab monitors are usually available to help any engineering student.
Some of the problems they can help you with include:
- Accessing Wiliki with a modem
- Beginning C programing
- Using Microsoft Word and Excel
- Printing files from Wiliki
- Using Netscape to access the World Wide Web
- Reading and sending Email
- Using and configuring the Linux workstations
- Transferring files to and from Wiliki
