Roughly three/four approaches you can take:
- Due to FERPA rules and regulations regarding student privacy matters, we are unable to provide you with resumes as you request. However, we can send out a request to all students for resumes to be sent to you directly if you provided us with a job description or posting that we can send to the students. Since this is then non specific we understand that this is probably not a course that is appealing.
- University Career Services is set up to handle these inquiries see http://www.hawaii.edu/career/ Typically, the company submits job openings, which are then posted. Interested students submit their CVs for this company, which the companies can screen in advance and then arrange for interviews.
- We hold two career days a year at which we distribute a "CoE Resume CD" which contains student submitted resumes. If you would like more information about the College of Engineering Career Days (Fall & Spring), please contact Ms. Laura Shimabukuro at 808-956-8404 or laura@eng.hawaii.edu.
A longer term approach that is effective is to get to know specific professors who are working in areas of interest to you and work through them to narrow down the pool of students to consider, again abiding by FERPA rules.
