Personnel

Transfer of personnel funded on extramural projects SHOULD NOT be done retroactively. All transfers must be made in accordance with payroll deadlines.

Student employees on extramural projects MUST have their time sheets signed by the PI, or, if the PI is absent, by an official designated individual.

Student employee timesheets should be turned in every two weeks, according to the schedule provided by the Fiscal Office staff. Late time sheets will be accepted, but only until the end of the month following the pay period.

New employee start dates should fall on the beginning of the pay period. Supervisors should ensure student employees, graduate students, or other personnel DO NOT START WORK before the APPROVED, EFFECTIVE DATE OF HIRE. Compensation for these individuals will not be provided for work begun prior to this date.
