09 Head Start: A Formal Introduction to Engineering at UH Manoa
August 21, 2009
This was the first year the College of Engineering hosted its Head Start event. The event welcomed our incoming freshmen and transfer students, and provided information about what the exciting field of engineering has to offer and how students could best be prepared for it. Current students, faculty members and industry professionals shared their knowledge and experience about engineering through a variety of discussions, presentations and lectures. A lunch session also provided a chance for parents to engage in conversations with our Dean and faculty, while students were able to meet current College of Engineering students and learn more about student organizations and projects.
