2008 Orientation Picnic

The Orientation Picnic welcomed incoming freshmen and transfer students to the College of Engineering. Dean Peter Crouch, Dr. Bruce Liebert, Interim Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Tep Dobry, Director of Student Affairs, provided a brief introduction providing information about what the students should expect and advising and student organization opportunities. Student organization representatives were also present to help welcome the students and encourage participation in College of Engineering activities. The event ended with a fun-filled relay race!

Students learned about the American Society of Civil Engineers and saw one of their projects, the steel bridge.
Students took part in a relay race that consisted of a water balloon toss, paper airplane challenge, and brain teaser game. The Civil Engineers took 1st place!
