Obtaining PC versions of gnuplot

  1. Load a blank, formatted diskette in the A: drive.
  2. Open a connection to wiliki by clicking WuFTP icon
    Once you are connected, enter login name and password.
  3. Steps for DOS users:
    1. cd /soft/cf/soft/ibmpc/gnuplot
    2. binary
    3. get gpt35exe.zip A:gpt35exe.zip
    4. get pkz204g.exe A:pkz204g.exe
    5. On your home system, copy both files to a new directory, and change to this directory.
    6. pkz204g.exe (Self-extracts)
    7. pkunzip gpt35exe.zip Copy the files which are created by the last step to a directory within your search path. (This should have created the files gnuplot.exe and gnuplot.gih.)
  4. Steps for Windows users:
    1. cd /soft/cf/soft/ibmpc/gnuplot
    2. binary
    3. get gpt35win.zip A:gpt35win.zip
    4. get pkz204g.exe A:pkz204g.exe
    5. On your home system, copy the two files to a new directory, and change to this directory.
    6. pkz204g.exe (Self-extracts)
    7. pkunzip gpt35win.zip
    8. Copy the resulting files, wgnuplot.exe and wgnuplot.hlp to a Windows directory.
