Using X11 with Gnuplot
If you are running gnuplot on the workstations running X Windows (or VUE),
the terminal type should automatically be set to x11. When this output
method is chosen, a separate window for plots will be opened on your screen
when you issue a plot command. If you have changed the
terminal type to print or the type was set improperly, use the
set term and set output command to set
the terminal type to x11, as shown:
set output This output method is primarily used to view your plots, as printing from the window shown is somewhat of a tedious procedure. If you wish to print your plot for the HP 7550A Plotter or the PostScript printer, see the relevant sections of this tutorial. |
